The following information is from a website that sells motherboards:

Number of PCI Express Slots
1 x PCI Express 4.0 x16
1 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 (@ x2)
3 x PCI Express 3.0 x1

But can you tell me what the "@x2" means? Why isn't it "@x16" for example?

Solution
Hi Devilfox.

It means the slot can take a x16 wide card but only run at x2 speed. The PCIe 4.0 x16 is your PCIe 3.0 x16 running at x16.
