heyho dudes, big davy in here!!!!
i have a radeon9700pro, and it runs in PCI mode on my sucking mainboard. it still performs awesome well. as long as all the data fits into the ram on the card, the bus doesn't have to transfer much anymore anyways..
but as i now try to render a full screen offline and send it over the agp to blit it on screen, i get very low fps due the at max 70MB/s transfer rate (about PCI, isn't it?..)..
just thinking of how cool it would be if AGP8x would really run.. waiting for my XPC😀
how fast is 8x? 2GB/s ? 😀

but i think a radeon8500 based cards (8500<=card<9500) would give quite good quality/performance/price ratio for a PCI..
