Question Pci x8 in x16 slot problem

Hello, I have the following problem, I have a 6700xt graphics card in the first PCIX slot and below I have an NVME
Is it possible that the NVME consumes my graphics bandwidth?
The mother is a b460m - r2.0

If you go through the manual, the chipset provides the storage, it's not wired to the CPU.

The NVME gets lanes from the chipset and the GPU gets lanes directly from the cpu, so no the NVME does not consume bandwith from the GPU.

maybe, i cant found the sector of the bios for the pcie settings, i need to investate more

Is the card not performing up to par? On many boards you’ve got to hit a key combination to get into an advanced mode in the bios to find those settings.

hi ,i have a 10400f (limited to pciex 3) and 6700xt my problem its the vcard work x8, and i cannot change in bios, only have the option to set in auto, gen 1 gen 2 and gen 3.

How are you determining that your GPU is only working in x8 mode?

Did you start the render test (click on ? mark) to get GPU to run at higher capacity? If so, you would likely see it at x16.

Modern systems will slow themselves down to conserve power, when heavy processing isn't needed.

yes but didtn change, in the second pci slot, (x16 and support x4 mode) work on x4 mode, maybe the vcard its damaged on the lines?

Make sure it is fully seated in the slot and locked into place.
