Hi Team,

I am planning to upgrade to Intel 10/11 Gen CPUs and I am confused between i5-11400 and i5-10400 models. The 10400 is considerably cheaper(almost 30%) in my city due to high demand for 11400 but the 11400 seems to be slightly more future-proof because of its support for PCIE 4.0
Is it worth the price difference if I am going to purchase a PCIE 4.0 graphics card in the future?

PC Specs:
Intel 10400f/Intel 11400f
Gigabyte B560M DS3H Motherboard

Thank you

The lanes for the GPU will come from the CPU, so if your CPU doesn't have PCIe 4.0, regardless of your motherboard having PCIe 4.0 as well as the GPU being on PCIe 4.0, you're relegated to using PCIe 3.0. Intel ruined a lot of things in their past 2 generations, IMHO.
