I am using a new 65W pd charger to charge my laptop vis usb c port on my laptop that supports pd charging (using a usbc to usb c cable). The laptop charges but when i shut down the laptop or turn the power supply off the charging led is lit permanently and if disconnected when windows is booted, the windows system bar shows that the laptop is charging even though the usb pd charger is disconnected.

However, if i charge the laptop with pd charger through a usb c hub with pd then the charger behaves normally and disconnects when turned off as a regular brick adapter would do

What or where could be the fault to troubleshoot or change/

Thanks

Please mention the make, model and SKU of your laptop. Can you check and see if you have any BIOS updates pending? As for your OS, assuming you're on Windows OS, bring up Device Manager>Batteries and remove Microsoft ACPI-complaint Control Method Battery and Microsoft AC Adapter, then reboot the laptop and see if that helps alleviate the issue.

Speaking of adapter's, mind sharing a link to the adapter/power brick and cable if they're aftermarket parts? Is your OS up to date, again assuming you're on Windows OS(10/11)?
