Hello,

my goal is to achieve a stable 4.8Ghz on the i7-4790k.
I have an Asus Maximus Ranger VII, 16 GB ddr3 1866 and a gtx 980ti.
Everything is on liquid.
With the actual configuration after 5 hours of prime 95 I had no trouble, same with 10 benchmark of XTU or 3d Mark.

But while I was playing the withcer 3 I received the BSOD IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, and from the other forum about WIndows 10 I have been told that is most likely to be the cpu oc.

If anyone could help me to find a stable setting I would be glad.
Here I post the actual BIOS configuration:

Give this thread a check:

Also goes into uncore adjustments, which is probably necessary as you're pushing the upper limits.

sprry for late answer but I have been quite busy =)

I think I might have quite lucky CPU =D

so, I have worked on the cache voltage and multiplier, and with a cache speed of 35 and 1.2v , vith a 1.293vcore has been eprfectly stable on 12 hours of aida64.
I have tried it on a daily use and no problem with gaming, temp max was 70 in aida and 63 after couple of hours of withcer 3, still, is causing crash when playing the division, not BSOD, just game crash.

Anyone has any suggestion?
Should i try to increse the vcore?
