I have upgraded my Ryzen 2700X to a Ryzen 5800X3D

My current pc spec:

cpu : 5800x3d (didnt do any undervolt yet)

cpu cooler : be quiet! Dark Rock SLIM (180w tdp)

mb : gigabyte x470 gaming 7 wifi ( bios version f64)

ram : 32GB (3200)

gpu : gigabyte 4070 ti

mb bios post code : 9E ( reserved )

No undervolting :

My cinebench r23 scores : View: https://imgur.com/dvfSgJ0
( on mb bios version f63d i got ~13.3k score on multicore and cpu boost to 4.44 .... on version f64 it boost only to 4.27). On single core it boost to 4.44

HWinfo View: https://imgur.com/jlDQmhH
while cinr23 multicore test

Bios undervolt : -0.0125V ( i could not do other values like -0.0054v) i didnt foudn any options to limit cpu tdp ( i think my mb dont support that )

Bios screen : View: https://imgur.com/c93Z4It

System idle : View: https://imgur.com/XIb9gLD

system load ciner r23 multicore : View: https://imgur.com/vWx4VDK

I feel w/o unvervolting temps was like 89C now they are going on 90C

I was thibking to change cooler to Dark rock 4 ( q it is only 200W tdp 135 mm) will it need be enough ? i feel with dark rock 4 pro i may have problem with ram ( not sure )

Do You think : Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet i think 38x38 mm fis for am4 will be good option ? I feel my paste aplication is not the best ( but whole cpu is covered in paste and nothing spil) but it could be better i think

For now i will go back to 1st settings with ((auto - they was best perf i feel )

Game update :

elden Ring stable 60 fps temp ~65C/ 60-65W

Destinmy 2 165 stable temps ~ 74C / 73W

update : i found this https://www.bequiet.com/en/cpucoolercheck i could go dark rock 5 (pro) it will fit my mb

I didnt do fresh win10 instalation

Are those stats are "ok".

Thx for any info and advice

you should be undervolting with curve optimizer
i cant do that on my mb i think ( i think gigabyte x470 version) dont have that option

What i found gigabyte PBO + Curve Optimizer was added in x570 mb on bios version f37a version
btw your first image where cpu throttles , cpu vid is at 1.281v
your second image with "undervolt" shows 1.431v

yes 1st pic i no bios change was done pover is set auto , 2nd is -0.0125v ( what is wired cus durning cin r23 multiucore temp hit 90C and power usage goes to liek 130w). There is bios pic with that undervolt. atm im back on auto settings

Stats and results are "OK" but in CB r23 it's under full load which obviously doesn't happen in those games and temps are more than acceptable. Even if much cooler, it wouldn't help performance. If you had games that push CPU as far as CB r23, that would be another story, like this, CB results are not relatable.
Voltage control (undervolting) is just to control temperatures, if they are fine (not over 90c in this case), undervolting may even hurt performance.
PS: CB R23 doesn't benefit of added 3D cache, so results are comparable to those of 5700x , not 5800x.

Do You think on this type of cooler ethose temp should be better ? And do i try to get b550/570 mb to get access to curve ? To be honest at this point i feel i just could w8 for new am5 9xxx :(
Looks fine sitting under 1.3v and you don't need CO to lower it any more, only if approaching 1.4v you need to control it more. I would wait until 9000 x3D series come and than consider upgrade. That should happen by end of this year.
