The internet is full of people replacing the fans that come with the H100i and, well all of the Corsair Hydro series water coolers really. So what I'd like to know is how much of a performance drop do you see after doing this, after all the stock fans have an amazing pressure rating of 4mm-H20, none of the quiet fans I've seen have anywhere near that, even the Quiet High pressure fans Corsair sell are only 1.29mm/H20.

Solution

If you are going to invest ~ 100 into the cooler, ~30 for fans and who knows how much for modifying. Why don't you get this 360mm Radiatore Custom Loop kit from XSPC]

enjoy your new build. let us know if there is anything else.

Sorry to hear that, I have a strict policy of never updating any driver unless it comes on a disk. This includes windows, I get the service packs on disk, and I have never needed to download a driver as a result, so I have never experienced these issues on my gaming computer. I do not place it online for any other reason than the activation of games or windows. If I cannot play it without the internet, I will not play it at all. The root cause of most issues computers have is the internet.

Jake, I'm gutted for ya mate!, how are you doing with it now?...is it toast?...I really hope not, because I'm betting nvidia take no responsibility when things like that happen.
My recent driver update leaves me without sound if I turn the monitor off, nowhere near your level of catastrophe I know but it's very annoying having to restart the computer all the time.

Toolmaker, you can be guaranteed that I will be back asking questions soon enough mate!.

toolmaker, that is very true.

And marvin, It is done. Tested it on diffeent slots and computers. Just green and black posting, not able to boot into windows. The card is worth how every much aluminium goes for lol. (Aluminum heatsinks)

I contacted MSi and am RMA'ing it now-and nvidia said "They are sorry to hear that" 😱 I bet they re-if they were sorry, they should send a780ti my way lol.

I don't like this laptop at all-so slow and not co-operative and it's on windows 8. I love windows 8 and became so accustomed to it.

Oh well...I'm working on getting my projects from my hard drives on to here somehow in the mean time.

Good luck to you guys :)

(You should look up driver 196.75 )
