About a month ago i bought a GTX 760 gaming 2Gb edition from newegg and it's not performing well. When i play Borderlands at the lowest settings possible it wont stay above 55 fps (no physx) And when i play Battlefield 3 it doesn't go above 50 fps on high. oh and when i do boss fights in borderlands 2 the fps goes insanely low like to 8 and then just crashed.
YES I HAVE UPDATED ALL DRIVERS(AND BIOS) my specs are
AMD A10-7770k 3.8GHz
MSI GTX 760 OC 2Gb
6Gb 1600MHz ram (plan to upgrade to 8 or 16 next month)
500Gb HDD
Thermaltake TR2 TR-500 500W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire Power Supply
Deepcool tesseract case
And then i have some crappy old dell monitor from like 2006 that can display a maximum of 60hrz

Solution
It could be your CPU bottlenecking your video card, that CPU (the whole APU line from AMD actually) is really weak so don't expect much performance from them.

In order to verify if this is the issue, run procexp and GPU-Z minimized while gaming, after 10 minutes or so playing go back to your desktop and take a look at your CPU and GPU usage, if your GPU isn't reaching 99%+ it's because the CPU is bottlenecking it thus impacting in it's performance.

Also there's the chance of throttling down due to overheating, so check your GPU temps too with GPU-Z, as for your CPU you could use HWMonitor or AMD Overdrive.

Ok thanks can you recommend a good cpu for this card I was thinking of getting an i5 4690k is and then a new motherboard.
