performance problems!!! please help :(

hi, i just purchased two strix geforce gtx 970. i replaced my gtx 760. i have a problem though, i am not seeing the performace i should have. however i am seeing the performance on one game world of warcraft. on my 760 setup i would run wow at 4k with just 30 FPS, with my strix 970 i now run wow 4k at 95 FPS, i am happy with that. however when i play battlefield 4, on my old setup i used to get 85 FPS and now on my strix 970s i get around 110, im dissapointed i should have double the Frame rate than my gtx 760 setupd.
i heard of CPU"s being bottlneck, perhaps this is the problem. what is bottlnecking can someone explain. i get the idea that my proccessor is not allowing any more performace from my card. is this the problem?

here is a list to compare FPS for 2 games. the first set being sli 760, the second set being sli strix 970.
the setting for the games are the same for both setups.

world of warcraft 760s (105 FPS) 970s ( 200 FPS)
battlefield 760s ( 85 FPS ) 970s ( 115 FPS)

the problem i noticed is that in wow the FPS difference is what expected, a performace boost of almost double. but in battlefield i should be seeing around 160 FPS on my 970s. i dont know why im getting such a low Framerate . if anyone has any input please help me. my only theory is that my CPU is bottlenecked...
