Does using persistent memory in windows 10 pro workstation need special hardware ?

"Persistent memory" like what? Like that retained by a SSD or HDD, or trying to retain main memory contents when powering off/restoring when powering on?

RAM is volatile, non-persistent. Power off, and whatever is there goes away.
HDD/SSD is persistent. Power off, and whatever is there stays.

What type of "device" are you referring to?
