I have gone threw a few additional threads though instead of solving my issues they mostly gave me direction in narrowing down the source of the issue....
I am connected to a wireless network, my settings assure me I have internet connection and any attempts to run a troubleshooter yields "no solutions" just a screen pointing out that there seems to be an issue resolving the webpages I'm trying to connect to at all. Some days the only way to get my PC to effectively stay connected to the internet I have to system restore to a few days earlier, but ultimately that's proven to be a band-aid fix.
My PC operates absolutely fine when connected to the modem via an ethernet cable (tho the modem is in a completely different room and this is troublesome solution as even our longest 25 ft ethernet cable is not actually long enough with all the turns and corners) so I've determined the issue is with my PC's wireless card.
The card installed is listed as a: Realtek RTL8192CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC
On the suggestions of other posts and searches I have gone into the advanced settings via the Device Manager and fiddled around with some settings. Right now they look like this:
802.11d: disabled
Beacon Interval: 90
Preamble Mode: Short & Long
Roaming Sensitivity Level: Middle
TX Power Level: 100%
Wireless Mode: IEEE 802.11 b/g/n
I was able to unplug the ethernet cable for about 30 minutes and was able to surf the internet for that time with little to no issue; i thought I had found a solution, however my relief was short lived as my ability to work on the wireless soon cut out again....
Is this a solveable issue or was my wireless card simply a bargain gone sour and in need of replacing?
