My phenom II x4 810 seems to be running somewhat warm (40-50c load 38-40c idle) with my coolermaster hyper 212 evo I have it oc'd to 3.05ghz (450mhz oc) with a core voltage of 1.404

I don't know whether I should reseat the cpu as this was my first time installing this type of cooler but the temperatures do seem kinda high to me but I don't know if I should worry or not

my system does seem pretty stable though (been running a month almost constant on a new motherboard whilst oc'd no crashes)

Solution
Socket or core temp? Either way it's fine. Phenom IIs should be good up to 60C before you hit any issues. I'd try to push the overclock up to at least 3.5. You've got plenty of room to go higher on voltage

Isn't 50 degrees celsius pretty good for AMD cpus? I know that something like 70 is unacceptable, but 50 is low enough isn't it?

I'm planning to push it up to 4ghz possibly but first I need a new psu because my motherboard supports 8pin (am3+ plan to get a fx 8320) but I only have a psu with a 4pin so I don't think I'd have the required power to push any higher. I just don't want anything to go wrong and I fry my new motherboard ( I don't really care about the cpu as much because it's basically 10 years old) But I'm just worried about thermals on my socket
