[SOLVED] Photographic Fireworks

I'm lookign to take some images at firework displays over the next couple of weeks. As I've never attepted this before what woudl be recommended camera settings?

Your going to have to mess with the settings a bit until you like the way the pictures are turning out. But definitely put the camera on full manual and use a relatively fast shutter speed. Though a slower shutter speed might have an interesting light painting effect that you may like as well, but it won't look like fireworks.
