Hello everyone 😀
Im looking to purchase a new headset, i have $200 Australian to spend on this. Im looking around at headsets like the Logitech G430, The Razer Tiamat 7.1 and the Steelseries 9h. i've done lots of looking around at heaps of other headsets like the ones made by creative and other large and small brands. But i have a problem looking at these; i cant read audio or mic specs, as you can imagine this makes things very hard. Currently i have a Plantronics Gamecom 780, i found this headset sturdy with good mic quality and i never had any trouble with the sound quality (for my standards as a total noob at this and that it was my first headset i thought it was really good!).
and thus to close the thread i ask, Could anyone point in the direction of good headsets or could someone tell me how to read the audio and mic specs (also should i get more than one driver in each ear cup and opinions on wireless)
thanks everyone in advance!
Ricky :)

Solution
What happened to the rest of my comment? Anyways

The Gamecom 780 is actually pretty good. $200 AUS in electronics is (I'm guessing) around $100 USD (I'm from Canada so I have no idea). Personally I'd recommend the Steelseries Siberia V2 USB 7.1. It's a great headset and is cheap too!

I dont like the look of the Logitechs because the mic is horrific and that means quite a lot to me

i love my 780, its just run its course cause i throw it around and im not very careful lol

like i said earlier i don't like the logitechs, im looking into the steelseries now, they seem to tick all the boxes but i wonder if theres a model up of them with better sounds stuff?

Ah, nevermind then. Aw, that sucks. 🙁

i can get the blue snowball mics for around $60 aus, thats not too bad im willing to pay cause i know theyre gonna be amazing quality

I'm afraid this idea is way out of your budget. A pair of good (Not the extreme budget ones) Sennheiser cans would be around $100 CAD which would be a lot more in AUD. A blue snowball mic is also around $100 CAD

Well, I'm not too sure about your budget due to difference in currency (USD for me). Any studio quality headset for music should be great for gaming + a standalone mic. Just look for 7.1 support if you have a 7.1 capable soundcard.

If you REALLY want a Sennheiser recommendation, I hear a lot of people like the PC360. It's mad expensive though.

Yeah. The PC360 is $300 here in Canada

what if i was to get both individual, have the blue snowball, and them get like dj headohones for the audio, the gaming headsets cost way way to much

But that's Amazon USA. Wouldn't their be some kind of currency conversion?

Are you a real stickler for audio quality? Because just having either the Steelseries or Corsair alone would be fine for you if you're not looking for audiophile mic/audio quality.

there is a conversion of a sort but i bought my headset on there as well and it only put on about 5-10 dollars (i got my headset for 69 including postage)

The biggest thing for me is mic quality, audio i really dont know any different from my current headset so i dont know if im going up or down :/
im looking at these headphones they cheap and seem pretty good
