Hi, I have tried searching for an answer but can't seem to find anything.

Have just installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 on a SSD (C:).
Restored a backup using Windows Backup and Restore to a HDD (F:). Which consists of media files i.e music, pictures etc.

When I try to open a picture on F: I get a RunDLL error message:
'There was a problem starting F:\Program Files\Windows Photo Viewer\PhotoViewer.dll
The specified module could not be found.'

I can open pictures on C: with windows photo viewer fine.
When I right click on a picture on the F: and select open with, windows photo viewer is not an option, nor is it listed when I go to Set Default Programs.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

The new OS on C should have everything it needs. The problem is the files stuck inside an old Windows install on the F drive. Not sure what the restore to the F borked up, but no regsvr stuff should be needed.

Tried copying picture to C: and doesn't work.

Trying to register the dll doesn't work either, it says failed to load and the specified module could not be found.

Also the files themselves seem fine as can be opened in other programs.

The picture now lives on the C drive, and double clicking on it does not work?
Right click on it, select "Choose default program..."
Select whatever image viewer you use.

Thanks for the help.
Turns out copying the Windows Photo Viewer folder from the C: to the F: has enabled the pictures on F: to open now. Didn't think that would work but there we go.

Thanks for your time anyway! :)
