Actually it should be pretty easy.

Notice the terminations of the heat pipes at the top and bottom. All I have to do is cut off alittle bit of the ends and Solder on copper pipes to these for Cold/in at the bottom and hot/out at the top. The spin-q would remain the same other than this, also the 1st radiator would be the spin-q itself.
 
I have 4 now but I am only using 3 on my desk at the moment. Although I dont believe they could or should be the only radiatorsI need two rather large radiators mounted behind the motherboards in the desk. I am also thinking of using some other liquid than water as too get even colder. Phase change? I m not too sure if I really want to incorporate it at the moment But I may change my mind. I just built the 940 & ga-ma790x into the corner piece. I gotta get some batteries for my camera. Woo-hoo how cool! I like it.
 


I was rather saying loop like 3 of those heatsinks together to make on 3x120 rad.

Why would it not hold the pressure?! These Are thick hard copper pipes here, most evaporator cores use soft alluminum for piping. I can silver solder AND I bet it would hold up better than alluminum as pressure is concerned. I may be wrong, but I dont think pressure will play a big part in its ability be used in this form.
 
O, i thought those were aluminum...are they painted?

Anyways, it still wouldnt work. The part that sits on the cpu is called the "evaporator" (or evap for short) but the evap must have an open area larger than the pipes because the drop in pressure causes the refrdgerant to boil wich in turn suck up alot of heat...

I guess if you did a mod and made the bottom of it hook up to a chilly1 evap it could work but you would need some nice braze for that maybe even 45% silver. [:jaydeejohn:4]

Haaha dont need the spin-q afterall huh?

You an make your own evap, but it is much easier to buy ur own.

It's expensive though. The mountin bracket is $50 and the evap itself is $50

I have one and its pretty damn cool it comes with alot of padding and insulation.
 
Huh OK Brazing is basically the same, its just a different rod and techniquue. silver solder will hold @ HIGHER pressures than a brazing rod.

The 550 as a dual core scores about 2600 - 2700 at stock speed...so xtc28, you're right your 7750 BE is better... The 550 is great if you're looking for a good dual core or if you're planning to unlock...
 


Chilly1 makes it extrodinarly easy....

There is an almost identicle hole in the bottom the the evaporator fits snugly into.
