Hey guys,

Right now I'm running a PIII 733EB @ 800mhz 142mhz FSB 1.6v Idle 32c Load 42c Stock HSF
Asus P3C-E
128 PC800mhz @ 419x2 RAMBUS
GEFORCE 2 GTS 64mb Video

And my question is this.. I got the FSB to 150mhz putting the CPU @ 833mhz rambus at 450x2 core temp was aprox 47c at full load. Pc loaded WIN2K flawlessly....Ran full 100% CPU load for 1 hour. Ran fine then too.

Ran 3D mark to give it the 3D testing, locked up the PC.
Tried running Q3A...Locked up.

I know the limitations are not on the CPU end, as it was running fine. But the vid card was no hotter than it was before. Also, haven't OC the vid card.

Any ideas??

Hey I dont think that it is the vid card or the cpu but the ram is running at 450x2=900 you may want to lower this if you can and try it out that way.

Hey Sandman,
I was thinking about that as well...however, the RAM temp isn't through the roof, and I have read numerous others who hadn't had a problem with the ram.

Also, If I cut the Ram speed down, at the CPU speed, the only option the BIOS gives me is 436 or 300 😛 YUCK!

I don't wanna LOOSE speed....

But will try it.

Cheers Sandman

The 436 speed is still faster than the 412 that you were running before and it is not all that much slower than the 450 give it a try it may just work and the performance loss should be minimal.

Hey sandman,
Tried it last night...ran 3dBench2000 ran fine until it got to the high setting of the helicopter run. Rebooted ran Quake 3...It would run, but right before I got launched into the level, it locked up. I even went as far as bumping the RDRAM DOWN to 289mhz and that didn't do anything.

I don't get it..Have I met the wall yet? I fail to believe that after only 77mhz I have hit the wall. The AGP video has GOT to be the problem. But I do not have anyways to slow it down.

This is REALLY pissing me off now.

Any more ideas?

Cheers

and TIA
