[SOLVED] Ping a network printer

Hi,

Can a Windows user ping a printer in the same network even though the user has restricted access on that network printer in the Windows Active Directory?

Depends on the level of restriction. Worst case the ping will still resolve the IP address but not get a response back. I've not seen a printer set that securely here but I imagine I can be done as easily as a pc.
