Planning to build a gaming Pc

hi, am planning to build a gaming pc..i need to know that whether the MSI z97 motherboard is good for gaming and m planning to use a i5 processor and gtx 960 does all these work perfect

Yep Msi are good for gaming, But there are different i5s so you have to be carefull to select a motherboard that is compatible, meaning it has the same socket.

like the latest skylake i5 6600k has a 1151 socket.

and the last gen i5 4690k has a 1150 socket.

So the motherboard has to have the same socket.


and i suggest you go with the i5 4690k

what about Gigabyte H81M-Gaming 3 motherboard . i want to shorten the budget a bit

Nope most of them are Micro size boards, which means less option if you want to run 2 graphics cards at the same time. And MSI is good for overclocking too.

So in the future when its time to upgrade your CPU, instead of buying a new CPU you can just overclock the 4690k to squeeze more performance out of it
