Hi, i recently bought an Asus Rtx 2060 super gpu, but the ultrawide resolution is gone from the graphics settings in league.

Before i installed this card today, i didnt have a gpu, and was just gaming with my amd ryzen 5 3400g cpu with the integrated vega graphics.
i had my desktop environment set to 4k (3840x2160) and then in the ingame setting of league i had it sat to ultrawide (3440x1440) there was no issue, and all i would see was the screen give a little fliker off then on as i altabbed in and out of the game, when the screen was changing resolution. however i only see normal screen rations in the league setting now, after i installed my new gpu. is there any way i can make it behave like it did before?

Solution
I'd have to fire LoL back up to test that claim, but resolution is a number of pixels. If you use the full pixel height of your 16:9 TV, you'd be seeing 50% more of the map (vertically) than in 1440p vertical.....
Width is obviously about the same.

yeah the main reason is that the screen is way too big for this game, i use the whole screen in other games, (usually more slow paced games.) but for league its too big,

the 2nd reason is that im used to the other resolution, and finally, the ultra wide mode actually lets u see more of the map at once.

this is the way league handles ultrawide aspect ratios, if it makes sence, the red rectangles are contains the same area of the map, and then u get the green area as extra visible area of the map. ofc everything gets smaler, but thats what i want, cause its too big when i play on the full screen, cause im sitting to close to the screen.

i appreciate your help :)

Edit : BTW this isnt drawn to scale but i hope it gets the basic idea across :)

Interesting!

You're probably going to have to set a "custom resolution" in nvidia control panel since you're asking to display 21:9 on 16:9

yeah i've actually been playing around with that for the last few hours. i got it to work in the end (well kinda)

i still dont get other screenresolutions options in the settings of league of legends.
but it works, when i created a custom screenresolution, at 3880x1440 in the nvidia settings and put the timing standart to GTF (i have no idea what this means, and i was just trying stuff, and this setting seemed to work) it wouldn't work at 3440x1440. at any of the timing settings (maybe if i knew what numbers to put in the "manual" timing mode.)

then to get league of legends to display at the correct resolution, i set it to borderless mode instead off fullscreen, and changed some settings in the "game" config file in the league of legends folder.

this is kinda a clumpsy solution, as i can make it work, but as i only use the ultrawide resolution when i play league, i will have to manually switch between the resolutions. maybe at some time in the furture i will look into making some kind of script for doing this.

on the amd 3400g it would just automatic go to 3440x1440 when i went into league, and switch if i alt tabbet out to the desktop.
