Hi.

I started to play The Sims 3 yesterday and a message appeared when i tried to play "Your graphics card is not Recognised by our database. We put the settings in the highest settings and you may want to change it if you experience low performance."

So far, I have not experienced low performance, but could this settings damage my hardware in the long-run? Should I put the settings in med? And, btw, how can I change this settings?

My laptop system:
ASUS X555UB
Windows 10 64 bits
Intel Core i5 6200U 2.8Ghz
RAM: 8GB DDR3L 1600MHz
Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce 940m 2GB (dedicated memory)
HDD: 1TB
Screen: 15.6″ HD 1366 x 768 pixels;

Thanks.

Hm.. and how can I know objectively which one is a intensive game or a soft game for my system?
And, btw, my laptop stays hot in the bottom of laptop, but the performance is good and the heat stops some minutes after I stop playing.

going by the games system requirements should be a good reference point. if the game just meets the system requirements then it will work harder

Right. Thank you very much!
But in the case of a game that does not work in a good performance in high settings, how should I change the settings to get a better performance?
