Hi everyone,

My absolute favorite forum for asking advise :)

I'm now shopping for a budget memory, and this memory seems to be the best bang for buck:

AMD Entertainment Edition 4GB 1X4GB PC3-10600 DDR3 1333MHz 9-9-9-24 1.5V Memory Single Module

http://ncix.ca/products/?sku=69519&vpn=AE34G1339U2U&manufacture=AMD

This memory goes for like just about $19 before TAX.

Question is, there is another one:

AMD Entertainment Edition 4GB 1X4GB PC3-12800 DDR3 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 1.5V Memory Module

http://ncix.ca/products/?sku=65717&vpn=AE34G1609U2&manufacture=AMD&promoid=1360

This one has PC3-12800 and DDR3 1600 for about $22 before TAX.

Is it a big difference? What do those numbers mean in simpleton terms? :sol:

By the way, I have Kingston Valueram, I do not remember the spec 2 GB single stick, it was very cheap a few years ago and I bought it, is there something I need to know about compatibility before I buy it?

The system I have is DP55WB and i3 530.

Thank you very much,

The difference between DDR3 1600 and DDR3 1333 is the speed of the ram. The 1600 is faster. However, this difference is negligible and might result in 0-1% difference. Buy the 1333 ram and don't worry about the difference. Also, your motherboard supports the 1333 so there's less likelihood of issues.
