CPU : i5-3570k overclock to 4.5GHz
CPU Cooler : Thermaltake 2.0 water performer
RAM : Hyper x @1600 (8GB)
VGA : Gigabyte GTX 660 Ti OC EDITION 2GB

versus

CPU : i5-4670k @3.4 intel heat sink
RAM : Hyper x @1600 (16GB)
VGA : Gigabyte GTX 660 Ti OC EDITION 2GB

Which one is better for gaming

Solution
1st option in my opinion, 2nd option have no cpu cooler and the stock heat is garbage, if you can get a proper cpu cooler for 2nd option then go with 2nd option and do a small OC to 4ghz or so

i will suggest 2nd one if i5-3570k overclock to 4.5GHz than i5-4670k can be overclocked more.

there's no point OC'ing so much anyway, 4ghz is plently for gaming, i have oc'ed my 4670k to 4,4 and i can tell little to no difference while gaming, and he got no cooler for 2nd option anyway so oc'ing to 4,8 would run extremely hot if he could even play with it

offcourse if there isn't any heatsink it will be useless that's understood OCing is not necessary it just is a + point.

of course +'s are always nice to have :)

TomTomToi go with option 1 if you can't get your hands on a good cooler for the 4670k to OC it, no reason to buy K series if you aren't going to OC
