Hi ,

I want to get two new Seagate Barracuda S-ATA drives with NCQ (Native Command Queing) ... I'm not sure if my mainboard should or must or is able to support this function...

My motherboard is ASUS P4P800 SE

Thank you Kindly
Ralph

NCQ is a function of the HD and should work with that system.

NCQ isn't really that important. Sometimes it will make the drive work a bit faster but sometimes it slows down the drive. At this moment, don't bother, get the drives, they'll work anyway and they won't be that much faster with an NCQ controller to justify the cost involved.
