This is my first time looking at building a computer. I mostly want it to be able to do basic things. I'm not looking for any kind of gaming. The parts I am looking at are as follows:

-CPU: Intel Pentium G4560 3.5 GHz Dual-Core Processor ($59.98 @ Amazon)
-CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($39.99 @ B&H)
-Motherboard: Biostar TB250-BTC ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($59.80 @ Amazon)
-Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($79.99 @ Best Buy)
-Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($99.99 @ Amazon)
-Case: Fractal Design Focus G ATX Mid Tower Case ($57.98 @ Newegg)
-Power Supply: Silverstone 500 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply ($96.99 @ Amazon)
-Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($108.78 @ Other World Computing)

Total: $603.50

Are there any suggestions on parts or anything. I am mostly looking at trying to minimize my total cost while maximizing my effectiveness. Also, I am just trying to make sure that these parts will all integrate together well. Please give me any feedback thanks!

This build should utilize your budget and needs. As mentioned by Julienruc you don't really need a cooler for a low end CPU provided it's not overclocked so the standard stock coller is fine. But I added one in nevertheless, plus with a bit of RGB. PSU is lowered a bit but still have availability for upgrades, plus put in a set of RGB memory and a decent NZXT case that has more space for future upgrades. You can remove the cooler and change from a RGB to none RBG memory to reduce cost but this should do the job. CPU is also decent perhaps AMD could also be an option. Regardless of what you do, always do your own research as to not be surprised or disappointed later down the road...
Is you total budget $600? can you go higher plus you have a decent PSU, SSD, Memory, Case but it doesn't really match your CPU. Like is there any reason why you would need a 500W 80+ Gold PSU? because you could go slightly lower to save a bit of cost in that department to spend on a different component. Also is this for work? or web browsing? I can see that it will have minimal gaming capacity as it has no GPU.

  1. State the maximum budget you have?
  2. Function of the PC?
  3. Will you be upgrading it in the future?
  4. Do you really need to buy windows now? (you can just have the free version for a while and save up for the key later on to save costs

Are you planing on adding a GPU in the future?
What is this PC for? Gaming? I will adjust the build depending on yohr answers, but in theory, this build will dish out a much better performance for slightly cheaper.

For 600$, I would recommend this:

Please note that you don't need to get a Genuine Windows copy right now. If you really need the personalisation features, you can get an OEM key on Ebay for 5$.

As for the CPU cooler, you can always upgrade it later if you feel you really need to. Although, I personally think it'll be enough be ause this can't be overclocked.

Let me know of your thoughts, and I'm waiting for your reply so I can adjust it. Let me know.

So this Computer is mostly going to be used for my school work (Which consists mostly of computer programming). I am not all that interested in gaming at the moment with it. I have not put any time or thought into a graphics card at this point. Would you advise me to get one? I really appreciate the advice on the CPU cooler. I could not seem to decide if it would be necessary or not. Thank you so much for the help! I really like the build ideas you sent me!

Yes my budget will be around $600. I haven't looked into getting any GPU at this time because I don't plan on using it for gaming. I want to use it for school work(Which is mostly programming). So which components would you suggest I downgrade on, and which ones would you suggest I upgrade? No I don't really need that right now. I just tagged it on there while I was looking around. I am unsure as to how much I will upgrade in the future. It is a definite possibility though.
