Please help! Is GTX 1060 compatible with my mobo?

Hello guy i just bought msi gtx 1060 x gaming 6gb
my motherboard is gigabyte h87-hd3
is this gpu compatible with this mobo? I think the actual question is if a dual width gpu is compatible with this motherboard

a 580W PSU is fine. what is the name of your PSU?

To tell you the truth I don't even remember it's not a good brand though.it's a cheap-mid quality psu

ok i read your question again, your GPU will fit in the motherboard's PCIe x16 slot...but most likely you wont be able to use the PCIe X1 slot next to it as your GPU is a dual slot card. always use the topmost x16 slot as the one at the end is probably running at a slower speed.

ok thanks a lot again.I wont use any other slots so i think i will be fine. how much watts do you reccomend for new a psu?
