Please help me look for a motherboard for the AMD X4 880K

Hi guys,

I recently just purchased parts to build my gaming pc and I built it all however I am not getting any output on screen whatsoever. You may have seen my other post and we kind of came to the solution that it was a problem due to the bios on my motherboard not being compatible with the bios on my CPU. My parts are as follows:

AMD X4 880k
Asus strix GeForce gtx 950
Asus a68hm-plus
Corsair VS450
Bitfenix Nova
HyperX fury 1x8gb 1600mhz


So I was wondering to any of you guys have any suggestions for a motherboard for this build. It NEEDS to be compatible with my CPU on every single BIOS that it is sold on as I do not want a repeat of what happend with my last motherboard.

If you can help what would be absolutely amazing.

Asus a68hm-plus needs BIOS version 0901 for the Athlon X4 880K.

I suggest you purchase a processor that works with the original BIOS version and flash the BIOS to the latest version.

You also can ship the board to ASUS service to have them flash the BIOS. Notify them in advance.

New motherboards may also need the BIOS flashed to use that processor.

I would suggest returning everything and going with intel. An intel core i3 6100 will out perform that amd cpu. You can get way more performance per dollar.
