Hello, my question is if these are good specs to max out fsx.

Intel Core i7 2600K Quad Core Unlocked Hyperthreading Processor LGA1155 3.4GHZ Sandy Bridge 8MB - processor

My budget is $1000- 1250 the needs are gaming ( flight sim x ) , and normal surfing internet, and doing homework etc.. ( mostly gaming needed though to max out flight simulator) Im using the site ncix.ca to make my build soo if there are any parts that i should use other then the ones im using please let me know. I want full fsx performance.

Maxing out FSX is a lofty goal because it (even being older) can still bring even a top spec system to it's knees at high resoloutions. The 2600K SHOULD be ok (might need to OC it a little because FSX is as CPU intensive as it is GPU intensive) and you should be ok with the RAM, but the weak point I think, is the 560 Ti 448. It's a great card, but a 570/580, or better yet, a 680, would be my recommendation to max it out at 1080p. Seriously, I personally put FSX right up there with Crysis on the hardest games to max out at 1080p list.

Thanks! Im thinking about getting a pre oced processor ( i7 2600k at 4ghz) -- will that kill my computer? Or will it be fine , and will my computer live as long as normal? I will be cooling with a noctua nh -d14.

Also my build is around 1300 dollars.. I dont know if theres a better card i can get for that price, or maybe 20 -40 dollars more. The site im using is ncix.ca. Should i get the EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD SC Fermi 797MHZ 1280MB GDDR5 2XDVI Mini-HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Video Card instead? Is it better? I can spend more then 1300 dollars as im only 15 and its hard enough to convince my parents for something this expensive lol..

Nah, you'll be fine at 4GHz, especially with that cooler (I have my 2500K at 4.6GHz 24/7 with a Hyper 212 Evo). And yeah, I think that 570 SC would be great, if you can fit it into your budget. A normal (stock) 570 would be ok though, I think, if the SC is too much for you.

With the 570 my price goes up to 1350$$ , 100 dollars over price. I guess thats okay. But if i cant get it , gtx 560 ti 448 core will still be good right ? i assume as a ssecond ? because with it im at 1283$$ I might not overclock though , I cant risk the heat lol , i need this computer to last me a while , my last oc computer @ 4ghz messed up after 3 years :/

EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Superclocked Fermi 900Mhz 1023mb -- is this card any good?

EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD Fermi 732MHZ 1280MB GDDR5 2XDVI HDMI- -- and by normal / stock card you mean this one right? rather then the EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD SC Fermi 797MHZ 1280MB GDDR5, also last question is , are both of these cards better then the GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores 732MHZ 1280MB 3.2GHZ GDDR5? If not which one is : ) , thanks so much for your help!

Yes, a stock 570 like that, and it IS better than the 560 Ti 448, but not by a ton. The 570 SC is better than both, of course. And I wouldn't bother with the 560 Ti SC, since the 560 Ti 448 is better.

Best to worst, IMO are:

1. EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD SC Fermi 797MHZ 1280MB GDDR5

2. EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD Doubleshot Fermi 732MHZ 1280MB GDDR5 (Because of the cooler on it)

3. EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD Fermi 732MHZ 1280MB GDDR5

4. gtx 560 ti 448 cores 732 mhz
