Found a sweet combo deal on CPU and MOBo!!! GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Elite AX DDR4 & Intel Core i5-12600K Desktop Processor 10 (6P+4E) Cores up to 4.9 GHz Unlocked LGA1700 600 Series Chipset 125W

Priced at $450 combo deal. Worth it ??????​


So far I came up with this. Please review build and feel to add any suggestions.

I have a PSU new in box from a old bundle buy. Can this 650 Watt handle my build so far? Or should I go 850?

That board comes with M.2 heatsinks .. no need to purchase an SSD w/heatsink. I would look to make these changes.

on the " be quiet! Pure Base 500DX ATX Mid Tower Case

Can I disable the RGB lights? I don't want any of that flashing or wasting power on LED crap !!!!

What about the quad DDR4 slots. Should I fill them all or just go with dual channel for gaming??

Ok I Slap this Power Mid range build together. Please ASAP Reply!! I feeling the need to pull the trigger !!

I need your advice with DDR5 Ram selection,
Brand type, Speed settings ETC. Not looking for RGb colors or gold plated bling heat sinks!
Speed ,Value, Cold Metal heatsink all I need for games!

Should I go $229.99 64Gb for next 5 years or save at $119.99 32gb for next 5 years? Price does not matter at the moment for My DDR5! I be looking at 5 years worth of Everyday use!

Super nice board yet expensive.

This board has pretty much everything the Tomahawk offers.


Your choice of cooler is overkill for that cpu.

The norm when running dual M.2 SSD's is this ...

500GB for the O/S.

What kind of DDR5 Brand and speed you recommend? go dual 32gb or slam the 64Gb?

Price is not a issue. Im looking for the 5 years value Tab!

To be honest won a bunch of Poker money and looking to spend it wisely on a new gaming RIG !!!!

32GB for now. If you ever feel the need for more RAM some years down the road you can always add another set ... although when that time finally comes your build will most likely be outdated by then.

What yall think of a Matching ASUS GPU 4070 with matching G-Synch ASUS Monitor.

Since both are made by ASUS? Would that in theory make for a smoother transfer of Data , FPS, Synch, Etc..
Any kind of value for matching ASUS parts together like that?

It doesn't matter what brand of card / monitor manufacturer combo as long as whatever monitor you choose is G-Sync compatible.
