Nvidia had released a driver, ´by mistake´, making it possible to run PhysX (with a secundary card) alongside a AMD/ATI (primary) card -- but is it still like that? I thought Nvidia had ´corrected´ it some ago.

You usually have to use an older Nvidia driver because Nvidia did correct the flaw in their current drivers, but it's no big deal. You simply use the older driver, it doesn't really make a difference, especially if you're using an older card such as a GTS 450 or a GTX 260 as many prefer to use.
