Pluging 6pin into 4pin?

Hey guys! I'm building a computer and ran into a snag. My PSU has a very short APX 12V 4pin wire. Not sure why, but it is what it is! What would happen if I plugged the 6pin into it? I have a 6pin cable long enough, and it does go into the slot... would this work? The end looks like this (not the molex, the black plug end): http://virtuapin.net/images/adapter-2x-molex-6pin.jpg

I will if I need to, just was curious if the 6pin worked! It does fit, haha. I'm hoping my local radioshack has one...

It fit's, but it's wired in reverse
