hey guys, i was just wondering if selecting a high resolution is better than a high refresh rate i.e. 85hz refresh rate or 1280x1024? i have a dell CRT and msi 9600GT

there is no better option in this....both have their advantages....having a high refresh rate gives smoother flow in games.....having higher res means u will have detailed models on screen....having both is a treat....its upto u...for me i prefer resolution since having low refresh rate only gives flicker lines when the action is fast on screen which is not much of a bother....
