Ive recently built a computer and for some reason i cant manage to get my graphics card to be recognized by both the computer itself and the drivers, but the name of the graphics card shows up on a text screen when booting up the PC. Also im currently using the hdmi port on the graphics card for display.

System:
biostar A85W mobo
Amd a8 5600k
PNY GTX 650 1 gb gddr5 GPU
Crucial ballistx 8gb ram ddr3

I got to the hardware wizard and tried to use my usb (which i copied the disk files to since i dont have a disk drive) but it says that the specified folder has a compatible software driver. Also it didnt seem to find the graphics card.

What about your psu, which one are you using and how many watts? Recommended psu is atleast 400 watts.

Ive got an apex 500w psu

check whether it is 80+ bronze certified or not?
If not, i suggest changing your psu or get a better psu and check out if it's your power supply giving your graphics card adequate amount of power to your graphics or not. This can also be one of the reason your graphics card doesn't get detected.
Let me know what results you got.

I think my problem is my motherboard at this point. It doesnt even seem to detect my integrated graphics on my amd a8 processor.

tell your psu brand and model, just to make sure if its your psu causing problem :)
You do have dedicated graphic card so the onboard graphics is disable usually.
You can go into bios and enable your onboard graphics.

Try swapping your gpu in next pcie 2.0 slot and check results.
