how do you deal with camera position changes which result in movement
direction changes? I't pretty hard to run and avoid e.g. moving spiked
columns when prince suddenly changes direction

and how do you deal with smaller rooms where the camera is stuck in
one corner and you just can't control prince to run up the wall (because
none of the direction you can move him in is perpendicular to the wall)?

I gave it a try and the fights are somewhat fun but there are lot of
places where the camera-relative movement makes it pretty much
impossible to play the game.

thoughts?

HA! Yes...frustrating in the PoP game, for sure...but OTH, I'm kinda used to
it - but in a much slower environment - with my obsession to Survival
Horror. One of the genre;s hallmarks is bad cameras and clunky controllers.
But I love it all! Bring on Fatal Frame 3!!

For me, the fights were tedious and horrible. They just went on, and on, and
on, and on, and on...

yeah, it depends on how exactly it's done, e.g. Beyond good and evil
has the same style of control but it's not that bad, for what you do in
the game it's almost OK. But PoP seems pretty much unplayable.

I played PoP on Playstation and Xbox and I didn't notice this problem at
all. I liked PoP Warrior Within better, the combat was better and there was
better movement, although I enjoyed the story and game of the Sands of Time
more just from an emotional point of view.

And while we are on the subject, BG&E was a wonderful game also. Rumour has
it (and I forget where) that there may yet be a sequel.

Another game to look forward to has got to be Shadow of the Colossus.

I concur. The only bad thing about BG&E was that it ended too soon. I
really do hope they make a sequel.

hmmm... that's weird, how exactly did it work? Is the character
control different on playstation? Where would the camera be while you're
running down the hall with moving spiked columns (or other spiked stuff)?

Yeah, it would be nice, but I think it just wasn't 'popular' enough to
warrant financing for another one. I dunno, I haven't bothered checking but
that was the general consensus I was hearing way back when...sad.

I can't recall. I've got some time off work soon and have promised myself
that I will replay both SoT and finish WW. I don't remember having
problems, but maybe I'm only remembering the good things about the game.
