Polycom viewstation fx internet connection

when I try to connect the orange colored rj-45 to the internet I get no connection and no link light. The blue outlined rj45 connects and I can ping throughout the internet. Can someone tell me how to get the orange connector working?

the orange port is suppose to be connected to a network device like a switch or router which makes me believe that the orange cable is a cross-over cable.

connect a switch via the orange port and connect you computers to the switch.
