Recently I've found my system is not quite performing the way I'd like it to and a friend of mine has a near identical build as me (only difference being a slightly worse gpu which is a standard 2080) and is getting 30-40 more frames than me.
My system components are:
Intel 8700k
Asrock H310 motherboard
16 GB of memory
Nvidia 2080ti
850w gold rated PSU
3 different SSDs
So far I have updated my bios, done a fresh install of windows, upgraded my PSU (which was a 650 before), reinstalled video drivers and probably other things I can't think of at the moment
I'm playing games like Battlefield V at 1440p at high/ultra settings and in some cases barely scraping by with 50-60 FPS. As mentioned before my friend has a similar build and is running the same if not better settings at the same resolution and getting over 100 FPS constantly.
I am truly stumped and have considered upgrading my CPU and purchasing more memory to fix the issue but the fact that he is getting more FPS with the same build but a worse GPU is quite frustrating. Any help or tips would be appreciated
