Port Forwarding does not work

Hello. I port forwarded for a game and did everything correctly but when I check online if the port is open it says closed,and trying to host in the game didn't work either. Any help?

did you assign a reserved ip based on the pc's mac address in the router so it would not change?

Nope. I just did simple port forwarding things like entering the IPv4 address and the game port.
