Question Portable monitor detected by OS but display panel stays dark

Hello THW!
I recently bought a chinese brand 15.6inch portable monitor on Amazon. It's connected by HDMI to miniHDMI, and power is either through a micro-USB or a 5V AC/DC wall adapter.
It is detected as Display #2 by Windows, and the LED light changes when i connect the power and HDMI cables (the same way it did when it used to work).
I can still put apps and tabs into the monitor when it is connected. However the monitor panel remains dark and unpowered.
There is no backlight. It does not display a "No Signal" message.

I have tried :

• unplugging the monitor overnight
• using different USB cables for power
• using a different wall outlet for the AC/DC power adapter
• using different HDMI cables to connect the display
• using different computers to connect the monitor

None of these steps have worked to resolve the issue.

Any ideas of what it might be?
Could it be a dead panel, that just had a bit of delay dying? Or a false contact to the panel?
I have contacted the manufacturer and they will ship a new one directly from China in about 10 days. They said I can keep the dead panel, and so I wanna see if i can ressurect it with some DIY somehow.

Beam a flash light toward the monitor, and check whether you can see pixels - it might have backlight not functioning.

hello, sorry for late reply. ive tried what you said, i cannot see any pixels while shining a light. it's just an off screen
