There were references to Black Mesa (therefore half-life) in Portal. These means that the 2 games are part of the same "gaming universe" and thus valve could chose to merge the 2. But first, Portal needs to get a real storyline to merge into half life. Once they've released a Portal episode or two (they will be episodes, trust me!), then the stage will be set for a master stroke of genius in merging the two story lines into an epic finish.

Sorry to blow the secret early valve, but if you aren't already considering this then you should have hired me a long time ago. I'd still consider an offer, however.

I think I can decode BSOD, besides, be serious or die... It took me a while to get the joke though. Not gonna decode the whole hex, just to show that Tom's is a cover up for Windows 7 GUI, still being, based on DOS hahahahaha. But yeah Portal was coo, hope to see the sequel. Just wish they don't make me read in the game

Haha, great publicity stunt! I can't wait for the next instalment of HL and/or Portal! As it's been said, I smell a merger of the 2 "franchises" soon. The lady from Portal doesn't have much of a background and personnality and that's why it opens the door to a lot of opportunities, story-wise. On the other hand, that lady could simply meet Gordon at some point, give him the portal gun and then disappear (death, kidnapping, escape, etc.). Anyway, I'm sure we're in for a treat.

(yes, that's how we spell humour i.e. not US spelling) i think the point kami3k was trying to make is you are veering off topic from what was entertaining back to the mundane. i'm not a mind reader, you could be a troll - just your comments aren't quite controversial enough to provoke a lulz-worthy rant.

but in any case what difference if you know what went wrong to get to BSOD? what are you able to do differently if you know why? particularly if you are the "village idiot" PEBKAC. just have to hit any key and hope for the best (assuming you can find a key marked "any" on your keyboard).
But back to the topic at hand: Portal 2 - OMG, cannot wait!!! your avatar's name is Chell (ironic as I am led to believe this means lamb, like Dolly, the clone, perhaps, or the rhyme with shell as in script - you can get the name from credits and character files.

hmm maybe glados used the mainframe and glados chooses to flood the enrichment center with deadly neurotoxins in portal and the blue screen of death can be seen in portal 2
