[SOLVED] Possible dead pump ???

Hi guys I built my first new pc a couple of days ago and I put the new nzxt kraken nzxt z53 into a z490 tomahawk.

pc posted all fans spinning and I can control them using the lian li software

however with the nzxt kraken I put the 3 pin connector in cpu_fan1 and the other usb connection in jusb1. The sata was connnected to the sata power cable.

the lights for the kraken would turn on and it looks nice however when I downloaded the nzxt cam software it showed that the pump was at 0 rpm.

I don’t think the pump is working cause it’s not making any noise.

I tried connecting the lian li fans from the aio to the 4 pin header of the nzxt kraken however the nzxt wouldn’t show the light so I took it off. I also tried putting the kraken pin headers in different parts of the motherboard to no solution. I also tried re applying thermal paste was 25 o Celsius but rose to 80

do I have a dead pump and should I return it and get a replacement?

Did you check if the CPU FAN 1 header works (using any fan with 3 or 4 pin connector)?

If the fan works so your pump must work too, you should be able to see the pump's RPM in the Bios (we use Bios to discard any issue with Windows software).
