Possible GPU Driver issue?

I have a dual monitor setup. When i turned my pc on today i got no signal on my main monitor and the resolution for my second monitor was set to 800 x 600 instead of the usual 1280 x 1024. I tried detecting my main monitor again but it couldn't pick it up so i tried updating my drivers but every time i try and update my drivers it just fails when installing the graphic driver.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Try uninstalling the existing drivers with DDU from safe mode. Then run CCleaner and do the Clean and Registry portions both. Then install the latest driver for your card and OS. Btw, what card?

The card is an EVGA GT 640

Lol... well, that's not very helpful, is it? What .DLL is missing? They don't say. Try doing a Windows repair from the installation disk.

Recently I had to format my HD because of a virus, but when I install the video card driver from NVidia after I restart the system, It freezes!
Computer will NOT start or load anything.

I re-format several times, tried installing different versions of the Nvidia drivers, but the result is the same, won't load windows completely, it just freezes to a point where I have to go into the safe mode and uninstall the driver so it will load the default "Standard VGA Graphics Card" driver...

It was running great before with the latest NVidia drivers, but now after formatting it won't...

Any suggestions???
