I don't think it was the worst game of the year by a long shot, I just think that as usual in this day and age, it was overly hyped and in some respects was overly ambitious for Crytek. They set themselves up for a fall by hyping the heck out of it and releasing a game that wasn't really finished. It is quite simply too buggy, but then, its an EA game (please don't give me any more BS about system specs. Have you ever seen a 120ft cruise ship doing 360's in the ocean? Tell me thats my systems fault...)
@the Cruise Ship doing 360's... lol. Another flaw that kinda annoyed me was when some of the aliens would attack and die, but still be in mid-air. So all the AI on your side would shoot and yell at the bugged alien as if it were still alive.
I really do despise EA... pushing games out too early all the time. It has been a rare occasion that I've seen an EA game that I actually felt was complete and didn't need more time in development. Another thing you'll notice with EA is that you're always forced to watch anything with their logo on it. There is absolutely no way to just spacebar, escape, press enter, etc. to get past an EA advert. Luckily you can just delete the video file that the advert is coming from and remove the problem... Gah, I hate those EA ads...They set themselves up for a fall by hyping the heck out of it and releasing a game that wasn't really finished. It is quite simply too buggy, but then, its an EA game
