Here is my old Junker, built in 2009/early 2010 :

It packs and AMD Ahtlon II X2, a GTX 260, and 4GB of RAM which was pretty decent for it's time, it broke down on me a while ago so Im using my laptop as a replacement until I can build a new rig or fix this one, could definitely use a GPU :p

"External Air Cooler" A.K.A Standing Fan and everything, it's an ASUS N43SL, overheats like mad and performs.... let's be nice and say "OK".

So that's my setup,

Good Luck Everyone! :)

Those are both excellent choices as an upgrade from what you have now. Just make sure your motherboard can support that i5 CPU.

i got your back you choose both a really bad gpu and cpu so i would go for 750ti if your a gamer or the cpu to speed up performance then save up for a r9 270x for ultra graphics 40 more dollars than 750ti tight budgets suck man sorry.

If you can overclock that high why have you not done it yet? 4.5 ghz is very impressive for a 4770k and you can notice a difference in performance. If you aren't gonna overclock I don't see why you would have gotten a "K" cpu...

Don't upgrade to the G3258, it's basically the same CPU as you have, just with the ability to overclock. If you want to see a real difference save up and upgrade to an i5/xeon/i7.
