How is the heat output on that thing, I have a ML-34 laptop w/AGP graphics and after an hour of CADD/CAMM work I have to spray CO2 underneath the help it cool down...

I have a crappy computer. But it will be improved when I can afford it.

AMD Athlon 64 3200+
1 GB DDR400 PC3200 CL5 NONAME
DVD-RW
80 GB 133/7200 RPM Excelstor
Soltek SL-K8AN2-GR
300 watt Casecom
Raidmax Scorpio 868

It does very well with 2 x gfx card fans, 1 x cpu and 1 x hdd fan. I also raise the base to an angle of around 15 degrees, i guess that helps with cooling. It quite happily run's 24/7, or 12 hours gaming (Oblivion, Doom 3, HL2, F.E.A.R., Moon Project - an oldie i know) with no melt-down.

I tell you what, for my new Dell Lat 820 core 2 duo, I bought that $30 targus fan base from Best Buy. AMAZING! On the desk, I would pick the laptop up and feel the bottom, it would bee at least 100+ degrees (almost burning hot). Now with this Targus fan thingy, its as cold as if it were turned off. Im telling you, HUGE change in the temp on the laptop. I highly recoment it to anyone. Its jus awesome, you dont even hear the fans!

It's good to be back on here after such a long hiatus from Toms.

DDay

Well, first I built the computer, and then summer came along, and with all the fanboyishness I had seen on here previous to my build and with no real problems with the comp, I didn't really feel like returning. So, I've been out of the scene. I still read a lot of stuff on computers, but a lot of the time I used to spend reading computer websites, I now spend playing games at kick as fps. 😀 Gotta love the power of my computer.

DDay

P.S. Good to see you again. I see that the forum isn't completely full of C2D fanboys. I was worried. Last time it was 805 fanboys.

IE: OH MY GOD, GET AN 805 AND OVERCLOCK IT TO 4.1. ITS SO EASY. I MEAN, WOW
