Potential Upgrade Questions

I wish to upgrade my PC as I don't get the fps that I truly want when playing games, what is the cheapest upgrade to my system that I can make that will provide a big increase to fps? Also I find that my games crash/provide errors due to not much memory yet I have 8GB, is that normal? I do not wish to do a completely new build btw as I can't afford that. Thanks in advance.

the cpu is holding you back the most as far as fps goes. but to upgrade that will need a new mobo and ram which can add up. a better gpu won't do much since the cpu will be holding it back.

what kind of budget are you looking at? might be able to swing a decent upgrade if your budget is decent enough. probably $300 or so will get you an i5, mobo and 8 gb ram. maybe less if done right.
