power saving program similar to EPU 4 engine?

Hi

I was wondering are there any other program silmar where i can set the mode to power saving, as at night I just use it for torrents.

Every time when i do the calibrate or set it Auto or power saving. My pc resets.

I am using a quad 2.4 hertz, p5k pro board , 8800 gt card, 4 gig of ocz ram.

Why not use windows power settings, what OS do you use?
