Are 500 W PSUs good? is power shortage a common problem people come across?

I built my PC using PCpartpicker, and it told me est wattage is 290 W. so I got a 500 watts one.
System Info:
AMD A10-5800K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor
Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
MSI Radeon R7 260 1GB Video Card
EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

What he meant is that your CPU is actually an APU (contains both the central processing unit and graphics card unit). In essence, this means your build currently has two graphics cards, which is per se not such a bad thing, you can always disable one or use the other one in case that first dies; however, AMD processors which do not contain graphics (like Athlon X4 750K for example) are faster in computing, they use all of their transistors only for CPU. Since you won't be using that integrated graphics anyway, you end up with a faster overall computer for the almost same price.

TL;DR: Get Athlon X4 750K as your CPU if you absolutely need to buy an AMD. A faster (but slightly more expensive) build would contain Intel i3 and a corresponding motherboard for Socket 1150. The PSU you got is good. The graphics card is OK, nothing too fancy, but OK for medium details.

But you should definitely get an Athlon X4 750K. It will cost about the same as the A10 and perform better. The R7 260 really isn't that good of a GPU, but it'll be good for 720p gaming.

OP what is your budget for this build. I might be able to give you a better list of components

Well, I have already built it now! I spent about $600. Do u think I can return the video card even if I have opened it?

I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but what makes 750 k so good? and what makes mine not good?

The 750K is a real quad core CPU that can be overclocked. You have an APU which focuses a lot on integrated graphics which in turn means less CPU performance. An APU is best suited for those who are not using a GPU. Because you are using R7 260, you don't need the integrated graphics, but rather more raw power from the CPU

Although, there still seems to be the same old problem! Why can't I use my graphics card now with the current system I have? Is it because of the APU? or Power Supply? or ...
I just need to be sure that if I replace my CPU with an Athlon 760K (they have 760 instead of 750), it will work!

When I connect the graphics card to mobo and connect power cords to it, my monitor doesnt show anything! I can't use it!!! Even I changed the primary display option to PCI, but still nothing! I wanna know why that happens and how can i fix it?

760K is almost the same CPU. It's like i3 4150 and i3 4160

Alright, So I got it to work finally! Some monitors don't have an HDMI cable and some graphics cards only have HDMI and DVI. However I couldn't connect my monitor to Graphics card's DVI (didn't fit). There is a converter for VGA, and with that I could connect my monitor and everything is fine now!
