Hello, i need to ask something, im planning to upgrade my pc..but i don't know what kind of psu to get and how much power do i need for the parts, i was thinking about Coolermaster 500w but i dont know im confused and im also low on budget..so any help would be appreciated thanks.
here's the list of the components i will buy:
Motherboard - H81-Gamer
CPU - Pentium G4560 Kaby Lake Dual Core 3.5GHz
GPU - MSI GTX 1050 Gaming, 2GB, GDDR5
RAM - 8GB

Solution
Yeah the g4560 is a kaby lake CPU. It takes a socket 1151 motherboard. Yours takes socket 1150. I went with the 520w unit because it was inexpensive and offered you some head room if you upgraded in the future.

Really? becouse i already have pentium g3240..is g4560 something different?
btw thanks for the psu :)

and for the psu i will get coolermaster 500w becouse im low on budget :/
thanks for the help again.

Your welcome. Just a heads up, make sure the motherboard has the correct bios to run kaby lake cpus. most of the h110 amd other chipsets for the 6th gen cpus haven't had the bios update so you would need a skylake cpu to update the bios. or you could take it to a local pc shop and have them flash the bios for a fee. What is your budget for a psu? We might be able to find something better than the cooler master since the psu is the most important part of a pc.

Okay thanks, of course i will ask before i buy the motherboard, btw i have 340 dollars for the gpu, cpu, motherboard, ram and psu, its low..but thats the money i have right now unfortunatly.

Here's something I put together.
