[SOLVED] Powering RTX 3080 with two 12v 20a rails

I have a EVGA NEX650G1 PSU (650W). I'm trying to figure out if it can power an RTX 3080. It has x4 12v rails each with 20a max per rail, so 240W max per rail. The RTX3080 needs more than this which is my concern.

It is fully modular, and has x4 8pin VGA ports. The manual says VGA1/2 are on one rail, and VGA3/4 are on another.

So i'm thinking I can power the 3080 with one 8 pin from VGA1, and the second 8 pin from VGA 3. This way the GPU would be connected to two rails, thus giving it access to 20a + 20a = 40a, or 480W. This seems odd so I'd appreciate some input. Is there any concern with the two rails having slightly different voltage?

650S could've been enough depending on your CPU (I'd say it's safe with Ryzens and stock 8-core or OC'd 6-core Intels), what i meant is that this EVGA unit is old and it weren't particularly good to start with. What's model of the new PSU ?
